About AA-MEA

AIESEC Alumni Middle East & Africa (AA-MEA) is the official regional entity of AIESEC Alumni International, uniting thousands of former AIESEC members across 25+ countries in the Middle East and African regions.

We form a dynamic, borderless community of purpose-driven leaders committed to lifelong growth and positive impact. We empower AIESEC alumni to continue advancing AIESEC's timeless mission: to achieve peace and fulfilment of humankind's potential.

In a world of accelerating change, AA-MEA stands as a catalyst for inclusive leadership development across the Middle East and Africa. We believe the region's greatest asset is its people, and AIESEC alumni — with their unique blend of global mindset and local insight — are uniquely positioned to drive sustainable progress in business, governance, education and social innovation.

Why this conference, why now?

A decisive inflection point for MEA

By 2030, Africa will be home to 1.7 billion people, 60% under 25 — the world's youngest population. The Middle East is accelerating its transition toward post-oil economies built on innovation, digitalization and entrepreneurship. Yet this momentum coexists with real challenges: youth unemployment, digital divides, climate pressures.

A unique human capital asset to activate

AIESEC embodies a 78-year legacy of purpose-driven leaders. Over 100,000 active alumni across Africa and the Middle East — entrepreneurs, public officials, technical experts, investors, social innovators — form a strategic yet under-leveraged human capital asset.

Why Kigali?

The choice of Rwanda is deliberate. A pioneer in digital governance, climate resilience and economic diplomacy, Rwanda embodies the New Africa: ambitious, innovative, future-oriented. Kigali — a clean, safe, connected city — offers the ideal environment for high-level intergenerational dialogue.
